Dear partners and interested parties of AIRlabs Austria,

It is with great pleasure that we can announce that AIRlabs Austria can now make the temporary flight restriction area LO-R 11 ‘Frauschereck’ in the province of Upper Austria available to interested users and partners for drone tests following very intensive preparatory work.

In addition to the operational two AIRlabs test areas LO-R 9 Steinalpl and LO-R 10 Reichersberg, this AIRlabs test area of around 100 square kilometres or 10,000 hectares opens up another outstanding opportunity to carry out drone flight tests in a protected environment and to advance research & development as well as validation & testing of Unmanned Aerial Systems (UAS) and the associated technologies.

Due to the size of the area, it offers ideal conditions, especially for BVLOS operations and long-haul flights, e.g. for testing new propulsion technologies, sensors and communication solutions.

We look forward to hearing from you for further information on the area and utilisation enquiries! We are also happy to support you in the preparation and submission of the corresponding SORA applications and the authorisation process at Austro Control.
