FFG Take-Off Projects – with AIRlabs Austria

Take-Off is an initiative of the Austrian Research Promotion Agency (FFG) that aims to promote sustainable, competitive and safe aviation, increase value creation and nurture talent. Some of these projects place a special focus on drone technology and aim to develop and test groundbreaking solutions in the field of unmanned aviation and enable their market entry (FFG Take off ffg.at) – this is exactly where AIRlabs Austria comes into play.

Our expertise – research and development in drone technology and its applications

AIRlabs Austria contributes extensive expertise in research and development to several FFG TAKE-OFF projects. This includes regulatory aspects such as SORA (Specific Operational Risk Assessment), ERP (Emergency Response Plan) and access to unique test areas in alpine and urban locations, which are ideal for a wide variety of test scenarios under natural conditions.

Sustainability and gender-specific aspects are key requirements on the part of the FFG and an integral part of its funding guidelines. AIRlabs Austria also actively lives these values. They are firmly anchored in our corporate culture, and we are committed to ensuring that they are implemented in each of our projects.
Our interdisciplinary collaboration with renowned partners from science, industry and government leads to new insights and innovative solutions that contribute to the further development of drone technology. AIRlabs Austria is proud to participate in various Take-Off projects and to drive them forward together with our partners.
